Zeph Walker has deep cultural connections with Mossman and the Daintree, with his family recognised as the traditional custodians of the land.  As a child, Zeph recalls admiring his grandfather's ethic for hard work and cheerful optimism and dear to his heart are the stories of his grandfather building their family home with passion, conviction and no real experience!

Zeph’s life, and love for construction, are inspired by his grandfather’s stoicism, rooted in over twenty years’ experience in the building industry.

After completing his school education, Zeph started his career in building with a carpentry apprenticeship in 1998.  Right from his very first day on the job, Zeph loved building and knew this new path in life was for him!  Today, he continues to love the challenges and the learning, the manual work, the teamwork, and the reward that comes with completion.

In the course of his professional career, Zeph has accomplished a diverse range of projects from custom home builds through to concrete bridges, offshore and Gulf remote work, combined with four years civil work in mining.  In 2014, Zeph became a fully licensed builder and established Walker Homes & Construction in 2015.
